Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Urgent backfill with ASAP start; off-cycle starts accommodated
Work in a trauma unit with 16 beds
Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend shifts: 5-6 shifts in a 6-week schedule
No scheduled call; may flex down based on unit census and staff rotation
May float to task/secretary roles if needed (not required)
Electronic Health Record system: GE Centricity/Paragon

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications required:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Experience with couplet care, Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP), and some Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience

Additional Information

Patient population primarily trauma
Must be able to meet certification and experience requirements for safe patient care in Labor and Delivery
No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
