Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Antepartum Unit (APU)
- Number of Beds: 12
- Staff Composition: 9 RNs, 2 new grads in orientation, 1 nurse educator
- Shifts:
- Day Shift: 2 RNs, 1 nurse educator if available
- Night Shift: 2 RNs
- Patient Ratios: 3-4 patients per RN
- Equipment: Baxter IV Pumps, GE Fetal Monitoring
- EMR Systems: CPN, Meditech
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- IFM (Inpatient Fetal Monitoring)
- AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
Required License
- Registered Nurse (RN) License in Texas
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D), with experience within the last year
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- Current IFM (Inpatient Fetal Monitoring) certification
- Current AWHONN certification
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CPN and Meditech EMR systems
- Prior Labor & Delivery experience
