Job Overview

• Travel RN position in Saint Louis, Missouri
• Specialty: Heart & Vascular Recovery
• Shift: Nights, 3x12, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Weekly hours: 36
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, depending on staffing needs
• No call required
• Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• 2 years of telemetry experience
• Stepdown experience
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• Cardiac Rhythm proficiency
• Identification of cardiac emergencies

Preferred Experience

• Cardiac telemetry experience
• Pre/post cardiac care experience
• Cardiac step-down experience
• Experience with TR bands and pulling sheaths

Unit Details

• 8-bed cardiac transitional care unit
• Cares for patients pre- and post-cardiac procedures, including cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, and vascular patients
• Typical patients include post-procedural cardiac patients and STEMI post-care patients
• Equipment includes general monitoring and EKG
• Patient ratios vary; day estimate is 1:4 to 1:5

Work Environment

• Requires standing and walking most of the time
• Includes bending, stooping, lifting, turning patients with assistance, and exposure to blood and body fluids
• May require pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs; pinching up to 15 lbs; and minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling
