RN Med Surg Telemetry

Overview

• Travel RN / Charge Nurse role in a Surgical Inpatient Unit on the 3rd floor
• 1 opening
• Nights
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• At least 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• No call

Unit and patient population

• 24-bed Surgical Unit
• Adult patients ages 18–100+
• 1:6 max patient ratio
• Common work includes turnaround care with admits and discharges throughout the shift
• Float scope includes Medical / Nephrology / Inpatient Rehab, with possible float to Cardiology for lower-acuity patients, Med/Surg, and Pediatrics for adult patients only

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Experience with NG tubes
• Experience with chest tubes
• Experience with foley catheter / TURP
• Perioperative experience
• Orthopedic Surgery experience
• Neurosurgery experience
• Nephrology experience
