RN CVICU

Overview

• Travel assignment in Charleston, South Carolina.
• Unit: 65020 ICU.
• 28-bed mixed ICU.
• Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.
• Travelers are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
• Travelers are first to float; float scope includes the emergency department and PCU for PCU or ICU holds.
• Documentation system: Meditech.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• 1 year of intensive care unit experience.
• CVICU experience within the last year.
• 3 years of CVICU experience.
• 1 prior successful travel nursing assignment.
• Ability to care for ventilator patients.
• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience.
• Advanced hemodynamics experience.
• Phlebotomy skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN.
• Advanced Certifications.
• TNCC certification.
• Previous experience in a facility that used Meditech.

Clinical Experience / Skills

• CRRT.
• Advanced Hemodynamics.
• Phlebotomy.
• Administering breathing treatments outside the ICU, including inhalers and nebulizers.
• Post-op day 0 CABG.
• Impellas.
• Balloon pumps.
• Swan Ganz.
• Neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
• Experience with EVDs, bolts, Codman, and Artic Sun with induced hypothermia.
• Training opportunity for Neuro ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, and head and neck flap procedures.
