Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
33 rooms, up to 49 patients (some semi-private rooms)
Staff: 62 total
- Day shift: 2 charge nurses, 2 techs, 6-7 RNs
- Night shift: 1 charge nurse, 1.5 techs, 5-6 RNs
Patient Ratios: 4:1 (day), 5:1 (night)
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Specialty in caring for surgical flap patients, including spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention
Collaborates with burn unit to care for low acuity burn patients
Busy medical floor environment
