<p></p><h2>Job Title</h2><p>Registered Nurse – Labor &amp; Delivery</p><h2>Location</h2><p>Newark, DE</p><h2>Schedule / Job Type</h2><p>Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (0700–1900) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend required | Holiday requirement applies</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Provide direct patient care in a Labor &amp; Delivery unit managing common diagnoses and procedures including labor, induction of labor, Cesarean section delivery, External Cephalic Version, fetal demise, and intrauterine fetal death</li><li>Perform and manage specialized procedures including epidural management, Magnesium Sulfate administration, Pitocin titration, and insulin drips</li><li>Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on patient acuity</li><li>Document patient care using Cerner (transitioning to Epic)</li><li>Float to support ancillary areas including Antenatal, High Risk, OB Triage, and Postpartum as needed</li><li>Provide timely shift handoff to charge or oncoming nurse, communicating outstanding tasks and relevant patient information not readily visible in the EMR</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor &amp; Delivery specialty — no exceptions</li><li>Current certifications required; must provide list of certifications with expiration dates at time of submission</li><li>Ability to work every other weekend and assigned holidays</li><li>Willingness and ability to float to areas within acuity (Antenatal, High Risk, OB Triage, Postpartum)</li></ul><h2>Preferred Experience / Skills</h2><ul><li>Experience with Cerner EMR; familiarity with Epic is a plus</li><li>Experience managing high-acuity obstetric patients including high-risk and antepartum populations</li></ul><h2>Why Join Us</h2><ul><li>Work in a well-staffed Labor &amp; Delivery unit with structured nurse-to-patient ratios and scrubs provided</li><li>Gain experience in a dynamic obstetric environment managing a broad range of labor, delivery, and procedural cases</li></ul><p></p>
