Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Shift time: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation
• Missed shifts must be made up within 2 weeks
• No on-call or callback requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Stepdown experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel experience preferred
• Stepdown experience strongly preferred
• Critical access experience strongly preferred
• BSN strongly preferred

Clinical Details

• Stepdown ICU role with higher-acuity patients than a true ICU
• Must be comfortable with some patients on drips
• Patient ratio is typically 1:5 and may increase to 1:7

Unit and Work Environment

• Rural Level IV trauma center
• 20-bed unit with an average daily census of 12-18
• Float within the facility and to other nearby facilities within a 60-mile radius as needed

Charting

• EPIC experience within the last year

Additional Notes

• Black scrubs required
• Candidate should be resilient, adaptable, hardworking, and socially oriented
