Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technician (Travel)

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel
• Shift Requirements:

  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8 AM – 8 PM
  • On-call Saturday night
  • Every weekend schedule; no weekend RTO (request time off) allowed
  • Every other holiday as needed
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Float Requirements: May be required to float to nearby locations (Merrill, Antigo, Medford, Stanley)
• Work Environment:

  • Hospital setting with 4 ultrasound units (Philips EPIQ Elites)
  • Approximately 10-12 exams per day
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Separate departments for Echo/Vascular and Breast Health; no DVT exams or US-guided procedures except HSG’s

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of ultrasound experience
• Specialty Experience:

  • OB/GYN ultrasound experience including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester
  • Experience with pylorus, appendix, and possible fetal brain from NICU cases
• Certifications:

  • ARDMS certified in OB/GYN & Abdomen
  • AHA BLS certification
• Skills:

  • Excellent imaging skills with strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork
  • Ability to manage change and work resiliently in a fast-paced environment
• Charting: Epic experience preferred

Additional Information

• Contract includes 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; travelers may be on call during these hours with call-back pay if called in
• GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week

Summary
