Job Summary

  • Monitor patients for food and drug interactions and provide education accordingly.
  • Consult with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and assess patients accurately and timely based on levels of care.
  • Determine patients' nutritional needs and status; provide follow-up care.
  • Interview patients and/or families to obtain food habits and preferences.
  • Interpret relevant laboratory, physical, and social data related to nutrition care.
  • Provide nutrition education and document diet instructions and patient understanding.
  • Modify patient menus as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist within the last year.
  • Experience as a Dietitian-Nutritionist.
