Registered Nurse – Medicine / Pediatrics

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Under general supervision, provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Responsibilities include patient assessment, administering medications and treatments, monitoring physiological data, assisting physicians, and coordinating care with patients and families.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage care for an assigned group of patients.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures.
• Monitor and intervene based on patients’ physiological data.
• Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
• Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and discharge.
• Make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
• Delegate tasks to support staff.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
• Experience with tracheostomy care.
• Experience with high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Experience administering infusions.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

• No prior travel experience required.
