Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Lexington, Kentucky

Job Description
- Must have a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) license in Kentucky through ARRT before start; pending license acceptable at submission.
- Level 1 experience preferred.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (PALS not needed at submission but must be obtained before start).
- EKG onboarding exam required.
- Work schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
- Call requirements:
- 1 late call per week (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM)
- 1 call shift per week (5:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
- 1-2 call weekends per 6-week schedule (Friday 5:30 PM - Monday 7:00 AM)
- Preferred experience with Philips Single and Bi-Plane Angiography.
- Required experience with Epic EHR and McKesson systems.
- Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Kentucky Rad Tech license through ARRT.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, RQI accepted.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, RQI accepted.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only, RQI accepted; ENPC acceptable in lieu of PALS. Must be obtained before start date.
- NIH Stroke Certification.
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit specifics (e.g., NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, CPI).
- Competency Exams:
- Pass/Fail EKG/Medication exam (facility-specific advanced dysrhythmia exam) with only two attempts allowed.
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam.
- Unit-specific competency exams, including Core Parts I, II, III.
- RN Math Ability Competency Exam (if applicable).
- Conscious Sedation Competency Exam (if applicable).
- Background Checks:
- County and national criminal background checks, sex offender search, FACIS III, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG exclusions.
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, or PA.
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually.
- Immunizations and titers: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years), Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer or series or declination), Flu seasonal vaccination/documentation, COVID vaccine or approved exemption.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes; TB questionnaire annually if positive history.
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- History and Documentation:
- Two professional references verified within 6 months of start.
- Employment application with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
- Employment verification for 7 years.
- Skills checklists updated annually.
- Facility Specific:
- Must complete and pass facility-specific EKG exam and study guide.
- Must sign facility policies including confidentiality, acceptable use, electronic communications, and password policies.
