Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Mount Vernon, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1830-0700)
Weekends: Required
Call: Not required
Floating: Not required

Required Credentials & Licenses

• NBRC RRT credentials
• Licensed to practice in Ohio (OH RN license required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) certification

Preferred Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics specialty
• Skills required include:

  • Adult critical care
  • Emergency department experience
  • Airway management
  • Bronchoscopy assisting
  • Ventilator management
  • BiPAP & CPAP management
  • ABG sampling and interpretation
  • All other modalities of respiratory care

Additional Requirements

• Weekends required
• No call or floating duties
• Unit scrub color: Black

Background & Compliance

• 7-year criminal background check within a year of start, updated annually
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start
• E-Verify proof or attestation required
• Education verification from accredited programs
• Drug screening (9 or 10 panel) within last 12 months
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, updated annually
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (no declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) proof of vaccination or titers
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or titer
• Seasonal flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)

Competency & Skills Verification

• Unit-specific competency exams required, updated annually
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for all RNs except certain units
• Skills checklist and internal evaluations as applicable

References & History

• Proof of 2 clinical references within a year of start
• Employment application including 2 years prior clinical practice in acute care setting
• Performance evaluations if previously worked with the facility

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.

• Candidates must complete required HealthStream modules promptly upon orientation.
