Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele)
- Start Date: January 5th or later only
- Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 - 19:30)
- Patient Ratios:
- RN: 1:4-6
- CNA: 1:6-13 (days), 1:10-13 (nights)
- Float Requirements: Clinician will float within scope as needed, including to West Valley Hospital
- Schedule: Weekend required every other weekend (not greater than every other)
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending License Accepted: Yes (Emergency license accepted)
- RTO Restrictions: Time off requests over 2 weeks require approval
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience & Requirements
- Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA
- Skills & Competencies:
- Management of telemetry
- Interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Oxygen protocol
- Non-invasive airway management
- Peripheral line care/management
- Isolation precautions and PPE use
- Experience with cardiac drips (nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone)
- Rapid response team activation
- Computerized documentation (Epic charting)

- Background checks, health documents, and competency exams required prior to start
- Physical exam within one year of start required (can start with physical pending)
- Fit mask testing required onsite within first week of start
- Immunizations and titers required: Tdap, TB screening, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccine or declination
- Drug testing (10 panel) within 90 days of start required
- References: 2 references within last 2 years showing 1 year in comparable specialty, one must be supervisory

The role requires flexibility to float within adult inpatient units and to a sister hospital.
