Shift: Night (4 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Job Description
- Position is for the CVPICU/Cardiac unit.
- Floating to other units is required for most positions.
- Prefer candidates with close to 2 years of experience.
- Two supervisory references required (charge nurse counts as one reference).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
- Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NBRC certification
Certifications & Competencies
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA only).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA only).
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (AHA only).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) certification required for NICU RNs (if applicable).
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification as applicable.
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification as applicable.
- NBRC certification required for RRTs.
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam and other competency exams as applicable.
- N95 Fit Testing required within 1 year of start and updated annually.
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start, including 7-year county search and education verification.
- Fingerprinting (OH BCI/FBI) required within 60 days of start and updated for each new contract.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
- Sex offender search and various Ohio state-specific registry searches required within 30 days of start.
- Education verification through National Student Clearinghouse or equivalent.
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 60 days prior to start.
- Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
- Affiliating Health Record must be completed and uploaded.
- Infection Control Policy must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
- TB testing options include 2 PPDs or IGRA within 12 months; additional requirements if positive.
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 31 - May 31); medical/religious exemptions require approval.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required within 10 years of start.
- Immunization requirements for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella with titers or vaccines and boosters as applicable.
Additional Information
- Candidate’s legal name must match all licenses and certifications exactly.
- Ohio driver’s license address must not be within 60 miles of the facility to avoid being considered local.
- Official transcripts may be required if education verification is incomplete.
- Physical exam is required within 1 year of start (agency standard), but facility accepts signed Infection Control Policy in lieu of physical copy.
- Fit testing documentation must be valid annually; candidates with beards have options for PAPR/CAPR.
- Candidates must complete all required documentation and screenings prior to or within specified timeframes after start.
This position is ideal for experienced RRTs seeking a travel contract in a pediatric critical care setting with a focus on cardiac and neuro diagnostics. Night shift availability and flexibility to float are essential.
