Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: Day shift, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
  • On-call requirement: 7-8 call shifts per month, including 1 weekend
  • Daily caseload varies between 4-16 cases per tech
  • Floating within scope of practice may be required
  • Locals within 70-mile radius are not accepted
  • Pending state license accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with experience within the last year
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Criminal background check within 12 months, including SSN trace, 7-year county and nationwide search, sex offender search
  • Negative drug screen within 12 months prior to start
  • TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if PPD positive
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (must be renewed annually)
  • Preferred COVID vaccination series
  • OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit testing completed onsite during orientation)
  • Fit test must be clean-shaven; refusal results in cancellation
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and training, including:
    • Cath Lab AbioMed Impella Online Training (annual update required)
    • Confidentiality and Security Agreement
    • Standards of Ethical Conduct and Relevant Policies
  • Post-start orientation checklists to be completed during orientation

  • Scrubs provided
  • Free onsite parking available
  • Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health required (Aya standard)
  • Two professional references required (Aya standard)
  • Skills checklist required

Notes

  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application; additional RTO after contract signing is at manager discretion
  • Background and credentialing reviews are strict and must meet facility standards
  • Candidates must complete all required documentation and training prior to start to avoid delays or removal from assignment

This position offers an opportunity to work in a high-volume cardiac catheterization lab in a major academic medical center, providing tertiary care in the St. Louis region.
