Physical Therapist - Outpatient (Travel/Contract)

Location: Rio Rico, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 days/week, 40 hours/week)

Job Summary

Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment for outpatient physical therapy patients, including injured workers. Supervise physical therapy assistants and technicians, perform various functional and ergonomic evaluations, and maintain communication with referring physicians and rehab nurses. Participate in marketing and community outreach as workload allows.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients per physician referral or direct access
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and technicians according to PT plan of care
• Perform Work Hardening Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, ergonomic evaluations, and post-offer testing (e.g., WorkSTEPS, APET)
• Utilize modalities and exercise equipment available in the facility
• Manage scheduling, referrals, and phone communications as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including billing codes for various payers
• Update rehab nurses weekly on patient progress
• Maintain professional relationships with patients, physicians, case managers, and other contacts
• Assist with business development and marketing efforts
• Participate in community events representing the facility
• Perform additional tasks as needed for operational success

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Arizona
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an outpatient setting
