Job Details
- Unit: Intermediate Care (IMC)
- Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 7:15)
- Schedule: Weekends every other week (EOW) and holidays as needed
- Floating: May be required to float to rehab unit as needed
- Patient Population: May care for COVID-19 patients
- Facility Environment: Tobacco and fragrance-free
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record system
Screening & Interview Process
- Clinical screening to determine fit
- Manager interview required
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal background check (must be current within 30 days of start)
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search required; may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
- Education Verification: Highest level of education must be verified
- References: Two professional references within last 3 years
- Employment Application: Most recent resume/application required
- Skills Checklist: Annual requirement
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
- Vaccinations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles) – 2 doses or positive titer
- Mumps – 2 doses or positive titer
- Rubella – 2 doses or positive titer
- Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer
- Hepatitis B – positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap – within 10 years
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required within 1 year of start and renewed annually
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (requirement for agency only)
Training & Competency
- Completion of assigned Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start
- New Hire Orientation must be completed by end of first day
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required within 72 hours of contract signing (except OR and Home Health)
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required within 48 hours of contract signing (except OR and Home Health)
Documentation & Facility Requirements
- Clear, professional, passport-style photo for badge
- Various facility-specific documents to review and sign, including:
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Commitment to Health & Wellness
- Non-Employee Affidavit
- Attestation forms related to I9, E-Verify, and background checks completed by agency
- All health documents must include two identifying markers (e.g., full name, DOB, SSN)
Additional Notes
- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days; no scheduling requests guaranteed
- Tobacco and fragrance-free environment—travelers must be notified prior to submission
- Candidate may be asked to float to rehab unit as needed

Cons
Sometimes the schedule can be confusing with rotating shifts and call schedules that don’t align well with your scheduled shifts. But again if there is a major concern they’ll try and work with you on it!
