Case Manager - Travel/Contract

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
• Shift: Day shift, either 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM depending on unit needs
• Case managers cover all hospital units except Psychiatry and Women & Infants
• Average daily census: 1000+ staffed beds
• Facility type: Short Term Acute Care, Magnet & Teaching Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
• Charting system: EPIC (experience preferred)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of case management experience in a facility with 1000+ beds
• Candidates with experience in facilities with 200+ beds may be considered
• Academic experience preferred
• First-time travelers are not accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of case management experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Documentation

• Two professional references required (supervisors within last year preferred)
• Employment application and unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start
• Photo for badge: head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months of start
• Completion of facility-required forms including confidentiality, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policies
• Vehicle registration form required for day shift workers
• Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) and Highway Patrol checks required for placements in Missouri
• Fingerprinting required for assignments in Illinois long-term care or rehab units
• Background checks and license verifications must be current and meet facility standards

Additional Notes

• Parking: Monthly parking passes available; fees vary by lot and shift
• Night shift parking is free in employee lots; day/night rotation requires paid parking pass
• Facility does not validate or reimburse parking fees
• Candidates must adhere to all facility policies or risk removal from shifts
