Operating Room

Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in Lexington, Kentucky
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:00-15:30
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 14 weeks

Role Details

• Level 1 experience desired
• Staff will work in a variety of specialty areas
• Required specialty areas: Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS
• Late coverage may be needed as backup if the OR schedule runs late
• Call is part of the assignment, with a rotating call list and a 40-minute response time

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 3 years of experience in Operating Room
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• Experience working with Spine patients
• Familiarity with total joint surgery procedures
• Experience with orthospine surgery
• Experience with gynecologic (Gyn) surgery
• Experience with minimally invasive surgery (MIS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Level 1 experience

Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements

• ACLS
• PALS, or ENPC in lieu of PALS
• Pass/fail testing and competency requirements apply
• Background check and education verification
• Physical exam
• Fit mask
• Tdap within 10 years
• TB screening
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or documentation
• Drug screening
• COVID vaccination or approved exemption
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption
• Annual and unit-specific skills/competency checklists may be required
