Job Overview

  • Travel/contract outpatient float role in Atlanta, Georgia
  • Day shift: 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • 13-week contract
  • Float to all outpatient facilities
  • Provides cardiopulmonary function testing for patients from newborn to 21 years old

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Georgia
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Performs outpatient pulmonary diagnostics and non-critical respiratory care
  • Procedures include spirometry, plethysmography, DLCO, 6-minute walk testing, exhaled nitric oxide testing, metabolic testing, impulse oscillometry (IOS), aerosolized pentamidine therapy, methacholine challenge, and nitrogen washout
  • Provides patient assessment, aerosol therapy, patient education, equipment management, and airway assessment/management
  • Supports patient and family understanding and compliance with treatment and testing
  • May serve as a departmental team leader under supervision

  • NICU experience is not required
