Overview

Travel/contract role in Mission Viejo, California
Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00–19:00
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Start date accepted: 11/30 only
Every other weekend
RTO: up to 5 days; no holiday RTO accepted
First-time travelers are not accepted

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in California
Pediatric Med Surg experience within the last year
2 years of Pediatric Med Surg experience
Pediatrics experience
One completed travel assignment
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of specialty experience

Unit / Clinical Setting

Pediatric RN assignment
24-bed unit
Age range: newborn through 17 years
General med/surg with respiratory, surgical, neurological, and infectious conditions
4 beds are designated for epilepsy video telemetry monitoring
High admission churn, ranging from 4 to 26 visits daily
No CNAs used

Float Scope

Floats to NICU, PICU, and the eating disorder unit
Receives 6 hours of orientation to float units
