Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Patient care includes outpatient surgeries and infusion patients (infusion meds such as blood, platelets, IVIG, IV fluids, antibiotics; no chemotherapy).
• Patient ratios approximately 3:1.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Schedule & Hours

• Typical shift: 8 hours per day.
• Weekly hours: 36-40 hours with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Holiday and overtime pay multipliers apply.
• Call back and on-call pay available.
• Orientation offered on scheduled dates throughout the year.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Driver’s license
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR certification preferred.
