Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Mullica Hill, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
• Orientation includes virtual and in-person components; full completion of orientation is mandatory.
• Badge ID must be obtained in person during orientation; photo submissions are not accepted.
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend or 3 per month depending on unit needs.
• No holiday shifts.
• No block scheduling or special shift requests allowed.
• Return to Office (RTO) requests limited to no more than 3 days.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• Prior travel nursing experience with completion of at least one contract assignment.

Additional Requirements & Compliance

• Background check, drug screen, and employment verification.
• COVID-19, Influenza, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap vaccines or records required.
• Core mandatory annual training and competency exams.
• Various screenings including FACIS 3M, NJ Debarment, National Sex Offender, and sanction checks.
• Physical exam and skills checklist.
• Confidentiality and compliance with all health and safety protocols.

Notes

• Candidates will receive detailed orientation instructions prior to start date.
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting and HealthStream online modules.
• In-person classes typically held Tuesday through Thursday at multiple locations.
• POCT class attendance required outside of orientation week.
