RN Surgery

Overview

• Location: West Burlington, Iowa
• Employment type: LTA
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 06:30 - 17:00
• Additional call hours are required

Role Summary

• Provides intra-operative nursing care using the nursing process
• Core duties include circulating, instrumenting, first assisting, patient education, and resource nursing
• Supports surgical cases across ENT, general surgery, orthopedics/spine, podiatry, dental/oral surgery, pain management, ophthalmology, urology, OB/Gynecology including C-sections, vascular, and bariatric procedures
• Call expectation is approximately 70-80 hours in a 4-week period with a 30-minute response time

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• 2 years of Operating Room experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS
• ACLS
• Driver's License
• Experience with Epic
