Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units. This role involves providing direct patient care in a hospital setting with a focus on medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Current license verification dated within 30 days of start.
• Fit test.
• Drug screening (10-panel) completed within 30 days of start.
• Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
• Proof of immunizations and vaccinations including:

  • COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella).
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series (titers not accepted).
  • Influenza vaccine or approved exemption.
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof.
  • Tdap vaccine (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction).
  • Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA).
• Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
• Background checks including:

  • Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check within the last 7 years.
  • Sex offender and dependent adult/child abuse registry checks (Iowa-specific).
  • Exclusion lists (OIG, EPLS, OFAC).
• Completion of required professional forms and agreements related to confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, and system access.
• Skills checklist and specialty competency testing as applicable.
• Education verification (highest level of academic education).

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• The assignment follows an every-other-week (EOW) schedule.
• All documentation must be uploaded and verified prior to the start date.
