Pediatric Operating Room RN
Overview
- Travel assignment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Primary location: Milwaukee campus
Schedule
- Every Saturday and Sunday, 0650-1920
- Two additional 8-hour weekday shifts, 0650-1520
- Orientation: 2 weeks, Monday-Friday, 0700-1530
Float / Coverage
- May float to Surgicenter as needed
- On-call as needed, not to exceed 1 weekday and every 4th weekend
- May be asked to provide in-house on-call coverage if a full-time team member calls out sick or is on PTO
- May need to stay overnight if requested
- Holiday coverage may include in-house coverage on any shift or 24-hour beeper call
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Pediatrics OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
- Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
Unit / Clinical Setting
- 14 ORs and 3 special procedure rooms
- Special procedure rooms include GI, oncology, and dental
- Unit performs ENT, ortho, urology, general surgery, craniofacial/plastics, neuro, eyes, and cardiac cases
- Traveler would not be expected to do cardiac
Additional Notes
- Precepting may be required
- EPIC is used for charting
- Scrub colors: any color except all black
- Nose stud is permitted; other visible body piercings are not acceptable except ear piercings
- Flesh-colored or clear piercing plugs may be worn
