Lab Cytologist

Location

  • Urbana, Illinois

Contract

  • 13 weeks
  • Day shift
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday
  • Occasional weekends
  • No holidays

Role Summary

  • Screens gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytologic specimens for evidence of cancer or other pathological conditions.
  • Performs quality control and quality assurance procedures.
  • Participates in rapid on-site evaluation of fine needle aspirations using tele-pathology.

Required Qualifications

  • Cytotechnologist experience within the last year.
  • 1 year of Cytotechnologist experience.
  • ASCP (CT) certification.
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Bachelor's degree or completion of a cytotechnology program with certificate of completion.

Skills / Experience

  • Strong organizational skills.
