RN Perioperative Circulator - Adult Surgery
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Call and weekend coverage required
Job Summary
The Perioperative Circulator RN plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures. This role requires applying clinical knowledge and judgment to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients in the perioperative environment. The nurse is responsible for both direct and indirect professional nursing care in the operating room and must document all care components using the nursing process.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Minimum of 1 year of OR Circulate experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or higher) from a board-approved program
- CNOR certification
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect professional nursing care in the operating room
- Continuously evaluate and document all aspects of patient care in the perioperative setting
- Individualize patient care based on health status, age, and type of surgery or procedure
- Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Information
- Weekend and call coverage are required as part of the schedule
- Shift length is 12 hours per day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
