Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery OR position in Oklahoma City, requiring at least 1 year of acute OR experience and availability for Friday–Sunday day shifts with call requirements.
Details
- Hospital-based adult surgery operating room environment
- Scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- Call and weekend work required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute operating room setting
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing practices
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care in a perioperative environment
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsible for direct and indirect professional nursing care of patients in the operating room
- Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all care components within the perioperative environment using the nursing process
- Individualizes patient care based on health status, age, and the specific surgery or procedure being performed
- CNOR certification is preferred
- BSN from a board-approved program is preferred
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior contracts may only be extended once, for a maximum total of 26 weeks)
- Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
