MRI Tech Position – Rancho Mirage, California

Job Overview

• Perform MRI procedures in coordination with Radiologists and physicians, following established MRI protocols.
• Ensure all MRI exams are properly documented and sent to PACS with complete patient notes.
• Screen MRI patients and all persons entering the MRI suite for safety.
• Provide patient support tailored to age and family needs, explaining procedures and maximizing comfort.
• Maintain cleanliness and adequate stock of Radiology equipment and procedure rooms.
• Assist Radiologists during diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Perform receptionist and assistant duties as required.
• Adhere to safety guidelines for working in magnetic fields and practice isolation techniques per policy.
• May be required to work different shifts occasionally to cover PTO, sick leave, or scheduling gaps.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (89 days).

Shift

• 4x10 hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM.

Required Qualifications

• Valid MRI Technologist license or certification as required by California.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the ACR contrast media manual.
• Familiarity with the most recent MRI Safe Practices Policies and Procedures.
• Ability to identify MRI Safe, Unsafe, and Conditional equipment and implants.
• Experience performing MRI procedures with high technical quality.
• Ability to safely handle patients and equipment in the MRI environment.

• Responsible for accurate documentation of patient condition changes and procedure details in the computer system.
• Must be able to move patients safely between gurney and MRI table.
