Registered Nurse — PCU for ER Holding
Location
- Savannah, Georgia
Assignment Details
- 18-week contract
- Night shift
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Start: ASAP
Unit Overview
- PCU RN role caring for patients being boarded in the ER
- Typical patient types include cardiac, neuro, ortho, and critical care
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- At least 2 years of recent PCU experience, or 1 year of PCU experience with 1+ years of Tele/ER/ICU experience
- At least 1 previous travel assignment completed
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend
- Holidays based on department needs
Clinical / Unit Details
- Nurse is expected to read and save their own telemetry strips into the chart
- RT is available 24/7 and handles ABGs and breathing treatments
- X-ray and CT are available in the ER with tech transport to and from imaging
- No phlebotomy in the ER
Orientation
- Department-specific orientation during the first week of the contract
Dress Code
- Navy scrubs
Additional Notes
- 100-mile radius rule is strictly enforced
- References should be from recent assignments
- No call or standby requirement
