Registered Nurse — Omaha, Nebraska

Overview

13-week contract
36 hours per week
12-hour night shifts
Every other weekend
Adult PCU/Med Surg/Oncology unit with 18 beds

Required Qualifications

Active RN role
Minimum 1 year of experience
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Driver’s license required at submittal
First-time travelers accepted

Preferred

Oncology certification
Oncology experience

Schedule / Work Setting

Self-scheduling, balanced to unit needs
Floating to other Med/Surg and PCU units
Same level of care when floating
Two days of unit orientation

Clinical Details

Adult oncology and trauma PCU patient population
May titrate insulin and Cardizem drips
Common medications/drips include chemotherapy, heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix
High-flow respiratory equipment may be encountered

Additional Notes

Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
Pass/fail open-book exam during orientation is required
Radius rule applies: candidates must be outside 50 miles
Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated CommonSpirit facility
