Registered Nurse (CVOR) - Travel Contract

Job Details

• Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Nurse
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Call and work rotation on weekends and holidays
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Floating: Only within the Operating Room to other specialties
• Orientation: Approximately one week or until comfortable
• Typical cases: Straightforward CABG, AVR, MVR, Thoracotomy
• Scrubbing: Not required but preferred
• Circulators: 2 per case
• Number of suites: 1
• Cases per week: About 2
• EMR systems used: Cerner, Surginet
• Scrub color and supplies provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification

Additional Information

• Charge Nurse handles next day assignments
• Call coverage: One CVOR RN covers every night
