Job Description
Seeking a CT Technologist to work in a level III trauma center providing comprehensive healthcare services including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, imaging, and lab testing. The position is based in the Radiology department with a focus on general radiography.
Position Details
- Role: Radiologic Technologist
- Specialty: CT Tech / General Radiography
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36-40 hours
- Weekend Hours: 36 hours
- Call Requirements: Occasional call required
- Float Requirements: Yes (includes O.R., Emergency Department, fluoroscopy, etc.)
- Equipment Used: General Electric imaging systems
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner
- Patient Population: All ages
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited radiography program
- ARRT certification in CT and Radiography (ARRT (CT)(R))
- Current New Mexico state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CT or general radiography specialty
- Experience with General Electric imaging equipment is required

Pros
Unit is comprised of many travelers. Core staff and travelers have all been fantastic! The unit is set up quite well to manage the surges of patients. It is the only main hospital around so it can definitely provide good experience. Most of the providers I've encountered over the last couple months actually listen to the nurses and are easy to work with.
Cons
It is definitely busy before the size of the town. I can't say I have any other cons.
