Job Opportunity: RN Step Down

Location: Mequon, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

Float position covering multiple departments based on need, including:
- Acuity Adaptable Unit (AAU) with mixed patient types
- Medical/Surgical
- Inpatient Rehabilitation
- Emergency Department (ED) boarded patients
May require floating onsite within skill set and potentially to sites within a 40-mile radius
Use of EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including experience within the last year
Prior travel nursing experience
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

Onboarding includes completion of specific modules and attestations prior to or at start
Some optional checklists may be required by unit leaders after start
Must be able to work extended hours and float as needed within skill set and geographic area

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with step-down or telemetry experience who are comfortable working in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility and prior travel nursing experience.
