Registered Nurse

Location

• Marshfield, Wisconsin

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Night shift
• 12-hour shifts
• 48 hours per week

Unit Overview

• 29-bed intermediate care / med-surg / telemetry unit
• Common patient types include abdominal surgery, ear/nose/throat surgery, complex wounds, and general medical cases

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• Intermediate care background
• Skills with IVs, drains, ostomies, wound vacs, NG tubes, and Foley catheters
• Ability to titrate drips

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• No call requirement

Responsibilities / Work Environment

• Telemetry is monitored by techs; RNs are not required to read their own strips
• Floating may be required to other med/surg units if the unit is overstaffed
• Charge nurse role is not required for agency staff

Orientation

• 12 hours of computer training
• 12 hours of shadowing

Additional Notes

• Scrubs of any color are allowed
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Submission must note any prior employment with Marshfield; if previously employed, there must be a 6-month gap before submission
