Location

Toledo, Ohio

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8 hours
Monday through Friday
Call required: 1 weekday call and every 4th weekend, Friday 1600 to Monday 0700

Setting

Interventional Radiology
Average daily census: 25
3 rooms, 8 beds
Patient age groups: adolescents, adults, geriatrics

Required Qualifications

Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
Interventional Radiology Technologist (1 year of experience)
Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
ARRT (R)
Experience with Epic

Procedures / Clinical Responsibilities

Chest tube placement
Embolization
IVC filter placement and removal
Stent placement
Thoracentesis
Catheter/drain exchange
Internal/external biliary drainage
TIPS
Central venous access/port placement
Central venous access for non-tunneled/PICC lines

Support / Workflow

Communication system: SBAR
On-site support includes interpretation services, lift teams, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response team, respiratory services, social services, transportation, and unit secretary
In-house 24/7 coverage includes intensivist, NP, CRNA, hospitalist, and anesthesiologist

The lab had good equipment and was in a new building

Cons

The schedule was 8 hours days the schedule had no flexibility. I used 1 sick day as provided in my contract and they immediately contacted my agency to complain
