Job Overview

Travel/contract role in Towson, Maryland
13-week assignment
Day shift: 4x10s, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
On-call, weekend, and holiday coverage required
First-time travelers accepted
Local travelers may be considered at a reduced rate
Block scheduling is not available

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Maryland
Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
ARRT (R) or RCIS
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
2 years of recent Cath Lab/Interventional scrubbing experience

Key Responsibilities

Work in a Cath Lab setting with adult and geriatric patients
Perform or assist with procedures including IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, structural heart cases, PFO, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman

Additional Notes

RN candidates may be considered in a tech role if they have recent/current cath/interventional scrub experience
On-call coverage may extend up to 13 weekdays, plus Friday evening through Monday morning coverage for 3 weekends per contract
EPIC familiarity is listed in the source, but it is not a required qualification

Pros

The charge nurses and patient population is friendly.

Cons

They will short staff you every day. I got attitude multiple times when trying to take lunch 9 hours into my shift because ‘we don’t really do that here.’ Incredibly frustrating staffing levels, especially on the oncology floor.
