Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio
- 16-week assignment
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 36 hours per week
- Mixed acuity PCU and medical-surgical unit with oncology/BMT focus
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Oncology (1 year of experience)
- Oncology experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ONS/ONCC
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Key Clinical Experience
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Blood product administration
- Central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care
- Feeding tube care and management
- Chemotherapy administration
- Rapid response team use
Unit Details
- Oncology/BMT unit caring for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, aplastic anemia, amyloidosis, and related disorders
- Unit procedures include autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic transplants, plus CAR-T therapy

- Rotating day/night scheduling may occur depending on department needs
- Parking is available through campus permit options at additional cost

Pros
Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
