Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Valdosta, Georgia
• 8-week assignment
• 3x12 nights
• No block scheduling
• No call
• Every other weekend required (Fri-Sun)
• Floating possible to COVID unit
• Unit ratio: 1:4

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Level I Trauma Center experience
• Ventilated patient experience
• Triage experience
• First-time travelers accepted, but experience is preferred

Unit Details

• Non-trauma designated facility seeing a wide range of patients across all age groups
• Common patient types include DKA, COPD, stroke, chest pain, abdominal pain, and psych
• The unit is undergoing trauma designation review and leadership reorganization
