Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Wilmington, North Carolina
• Night shift: 3x12, 18:45–07:15
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• First time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted at local rate
• Float required as needed
• Weekend shifts required
• Ratio: 1:5–6
• Must be willing to work in a fast paced unit
• RTO after booking is not allowed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• 2 years of telemetry experience
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• Intermediate Care experience
• Stepdown experience
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips, including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, and diltiazem
• Experience with sheath pulls
• Experience with TR bands
• Experience with Femstop

Unit Details

• Fast paced cardiac telemetry unit
• Monitors cardiac patients
• Cardiac drips used include Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, and diltiazem
• Sheaths pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop

Patient Diagnoses

• Congestive Heart Failure
• Arrhythmias
• Pacemaker/ICD implantations
• Pre/Post cardiac Cath

Schedule Notes

• Weekend shifts required: 5–6 over a 6-week scheduling period
• May float multiple shifts depending on need
• Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team
• May be required to report during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster
• Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur
• May be preassigned to units as needed
