Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Anniston, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 4 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
Schedule: Weekend shifts as needed; schedule is fixed once contract is confirmed (no changes or additional time off approved after confirmation)
Local Radius: 60 miles (local candidates preferred)
Travel Experience: No first-time travelers accepted
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT (N) – National Certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Current, AHA or ARC
- CMNT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
- State License verification prior to start and upon expiration
- National Certification/Verification prior to start and upon expiration
Additional certifications may be required based on unit:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC (if applicable)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or ARC (if applicable)
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
- Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- ARRT (N) certification
- Current BLS certification
- CMNT certification
Background & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked in last 7 years, including:
- Social Security Trace
- Statewide and county criminal searches as applicable
- National Sex Offender Registry
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, including all aliases
- Education verification: Official transcript, diploma, or third-party verification required
- Skills checklist annually (not required for non-clinical roles)
- Driver’s license or state ID required
- Social Security number required for candidate access (copy of card not required unless used for I9)
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start (annual expiration required for travelers)
- Immunizations/vaccinations or titers required (patient-facing roles only):
- Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria) within 10 years or declination
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Varicella – 2 vaccines, history of chickenpox, or positive titer with boosters if needed
- TB testing: Qgold, Tspot, or PPD within past 12 months; follow-up chest x-ray if positive
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (rapid screen acceptable)
- Flu vaccination or declination required year-round; decliners must wear a mask at work
Additional Notes
- No accommodation for other per diem schedules or contracts
- All candidates must review and sign the traveler attendance policy prior to start
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required to meet Joint Commission standards (not client-mandated)
- Competency exams required as applicable to specialty/profession
