MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Evening, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts, 40 hours/week)
• Work setting: Inpatient and/or outpatient
• Adult patient experience required
• Hurricane sign-up required (not guaranteed)

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience working with adult patients
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT (MR) certification
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Must successfully complete Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening (including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review) prior to start

Compliance & Screening Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
• Background check within 6 months of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, updated annually
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required before start; results must be dated within 30 days of start and renewed every 5 years
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Physical exam within 6 months of start (signed by DO, MD, NP, APRN, or PA), updated annually
• Annual fit mask test with approved masks only (3M 1860 Regular or Small)
• QuantiFERON (QGOLD) TB test within 6 months of start (TSPOT and PPD not accepted); chest X-ray accepted if prior positive TB test
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)

Orientation & Training Modules (Must be completed prior to start)

• Online clinical orientation and multiple facility-specific modules including:

  • Annual Risk Management
  • General Compliance & Ethics Training
  • Code of Conduct
  • Comprehensive Emergency Management Education
  • Preventing & Reporting Workplace Harassment
  • Stroke and Stroke Core Measures Review
  • Other nursing-specific modules as applicable (e.g., IV medication administration, recognizing impairment, PPE donning/doffing)

Additional Requirements

• Passport-style badge photo on solid white background required
• Two professional references required (within last 2 years) for candidates with direct patient contact
• Locals considered within a 60-mile radius
