Registered Nurse - Radiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Pinehurst, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Must be able to rotate shifts between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday
Specialty: Interventional / Radiology Nursing experience required
Must not reside in Moore County

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience, with experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
Radiology nursing experience

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Background check within 1 year covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including Social Security trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender registry, and international searches if applicable
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
Nursys verification prior to start
Primary source verification of NC nursing license
Color blindness testing required
Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain units (verify if applicable)
Annual skills checklist
Physical exam within 1 year (to meet agency standards)
Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- Negative TB test (PPD within 3 months or Qgold/TSPOT within 1 year) updated annually; if positive history, chest x-ray within 5 years plus annual TB questionnaire
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if no prior records
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, opiates, PCP, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, methadone, MDMA/MDA)
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (11/15 - 03/31); exemptions require mask use in patient care areas
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement annually

Additional Notes

Modules related to facility orientation must be completed prior to start date (up to 21 hours depending on specialty)
Employee Health may require an additional drug screen at orientation
