Job Overview
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Patient age groups: Adolescents, adults, geriatrics
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:12 with assistance from techs
Key Responsibilities
- Float as needed to 3 nearby facilities within 24 miles of the main site
- Be willing to float down to Behavioral Health Tech PRN
- Perform charge role as needed, including med-psych
- Provide care for behavioral health patients with some minor medical-surgical needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Psychiatric (2 years of experience)
- Psychiatric experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in Charge roles
- 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last 5 years
- Tube feeding administration
- NG tube insertion and maintenance
- Foley catheter insertion and maintenance
- Voluntary and involuntary commitment procedures
- Med Surg experience

Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted from a like facility
- Weekend requirement: 1 weekend shift per week; Friday does not count as weekend
- Orientation is 2 weeks and starts on Tuesday during day shift only
- CPI is offered onsite during orientation
