Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Specialty: Registered Nurse
Unit: IMCU Stepdown
Shift: Nights, some weekends and holidays
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Start Date: Approximately 3 weeks from offer

Schedule Options

• Option for 3x12-hour shifts or 4x12-hour shifts

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 1 year recent Critical Care & ICU experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Skills:

  • Intermediate Family Medicine (FM)
  • IV Start
  • Lab Draws/Sample Collecting
  • Experience titrating critical drips

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Dress Code

• Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)

Distance Restriction

• Candidates within 30 miles of the facility will not be accepted

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

Background Checks & Verifications

• 7-year criminal background check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks updated every contract renewal
• Education verification (Diploma or Transcript accepted if EDV not verifiable)
• NURSYS verification for RNs
• References: Two recent supervisor/manager level references verified within 12 months
• Performance and internal evaluations if worked with the system over 1 year

Licenses & Certifications

• State License primary source verification
• ACLS, BLS certifications as noted above
• Other certifications may be required depending on specialty/unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year and updated annually
• Fit mask test completed onsite
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start) or chest X-ray if past positive
• TB questionnaire within 30 days of start
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (9/3 - 3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption
• COVID-19 vaccine not required but proof of vaccine, exemption, or declination must be collected

Facility Specific Requirements

• Completion of assigned HealthStream modules prior to first day
• Submission of a professional photo for badge within 24 hours of signing
• Completion of facility-specific forms (e.g., IS115, IS119) with wet or DocuSign signature
• Review of dress code and flu exemption forms if applicable

Notes

• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• Fingerprinting (GCHEXS) required for CNAs; process details provided for candidates outside Georgia
• Documentation must be submitted in order and as per checklist provided by the facility
• Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) days; any RTO must be included on submission

This position is ideal for experienced critical care nurses comfortable with night shifts and working in a stepdown unit, who meet the certification and documentation requirements and are willing to comply with facility-specific onboarding processes.
