Job Description
- Shift: 1830-0700 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Initial training to work in the Emergency Room (ER)
- Potential to be trained for other areas such as the main department or surgery based on performance and contract extension
- Experience required with Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
- Must have experience with GE and Siemens equipment
- PACS equipment experience required
- ICU experience preferred
- ARRT and BLS certifications required
- EPIC experience preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, EFM certifications may be required depending on unit (check unit-specific requirements)
- State License verification required (Primary Source Verification)
- Tech Certification verification as applicable
- NURSYS verification required for RNs if applicable
Competencies & Testing
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Color Blind Testing required prior to start
- Competency Exam required prior to start (not required for non-clinical)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam may be required depending on unit
Background & Health Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Education verification required (transcript or diploma acceptable if verification unavailable)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required for non-clinical)
- Fit mask test required annually (with waiver process for failed tests)
- Immunizations and screenings required:
- Tdap within 10 years (declination acceptable for non-clinical)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Baseline TB risk assessment within 90 days of start, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or IgG titer required, declinations not accepted
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer, series, or declination required
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or IgG titer required, declinations not accepted
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references required (1 for non-clinical)
- Employment application required
- Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually (not required for non-clinical)
- Badge photo required (shoulders up, solid light background)
Notes
- Travel techs will initially be trained in the ER and may expand to other departments based on performance
- ICU experience is preferred but not mandatory
- EPIC system experience is preferred but not required
