Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Oakland, California
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Mammography Tech)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Rotating weekend shifts: Tuesday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with Monday off
  • Every other weekend and 1 Saturday per month required
  • Floating required within the breast center and mobile mammography van service across the Bay Area

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Tech

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
  • California State Mammography Licensure (Certified Radiologic Technologist certification by the California Department of Health Services)

Education

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology

Prior Travel Experience

  • Not explicitly required

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, and education verification
  • FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List, Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List checks as applicable
  • Education verification and transcript/diploma verification as needed
  • TB screening questionnaire and annual renewal
  • Drug screening (9 panel, excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law) within 6 months of start
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions)
  • Immunizations: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination during flu season
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
  • Respiratory safety clearance prior to start and annually

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Candidate must review and sign various facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, confidentiality agreements, and orientation materials prior to start
  • Completion of vendor training and code of conduct for 2024 and 2025 as applicable
  • Completion of religious accommodation forms if applicable

Additional Notes

  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exams and other competency exams may be required as applicable
  • Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
  • References required per agency standards (not required by client)

This position offers a structured schedule with rotating weekends and requires flexibility to float within the breast center and mobile mammography services. Candidates must meet strict licensure, certification, and compliance requirements to be eligible.
