Job Opportunity: Medical Technologist

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Position: Medical Lab Scientist / Blood Bank
Shift: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
No float requirement
Blood Bank duties include:
- ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & Identification
- AHG Crossmatch
- Antibody Typing (Tube Method)
- Antigen Typing
- Blood banking procedures
- Blood irradiation
- Cord Blood Evaluation

Required Qualifications

Medical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
ASCP MLS or ASCP-BB certification
Minimum 2 years of Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) experience in a hospital clinical laboratory setting
Proficiency in ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & Identification, AHG Crossmatch, Antigen Typing, blood banking procedures, blood irradiation, and cord blood evaluation
